SDGs in Brazil 2019 – The Role of the Private Sector at UNH

Editor's note: The second edition of SDGs in Brazil took place on Tuesday (16), an event that aims to discuss Brazilian advances and challenges to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. About 25 representatives of the national private and public sector participated in the discussions, along with members of various agencies of the United Nations. More than 170 people from 25 different nationalities signed up to attend the discussions,

About the Sustainable Development Goals
 
In 2015, the UN proposed to its member countries a new agenda for sustainable development for the next 15 years, Agenda 2030, which is composed of 17 Sustainable Development Objectives (SDOs). ODS seeks to ensure human rights, end poverty, fight against inequality and injustice, achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, act against climate change, and tackle other major challenges of our times .
